"Daniel Lantz, a famous wagon maker who made the trek west on the Oregon Trail once lived in this 1823 Federal style house. In 1993, owner Marcia Hoyt, who also went west in the 1960's returned to her Hoosier roots to restore this historic home as the Lantz House Inn. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Marcia has decorated with simple elegance in an eclectic mix of antiques, traditional pieces, and handsome contemporary art.

Breakfast is served between 7 and 10 AM, and might include such treats as vegetable cheese omlettes, country ham, and sour cream coffee cake; lemon-ricotta cheese pancakes with Vermont maple syrup; or spinach and wild mushroom quiche with apple-smoked sausage and strawberry orange muffins."

Sandra Soule, America's Wonderful Little Hotels and Inns.
